THE PLANTATION
This coffee comes from the heart of Sumatra, specifically from the region surrounding Kerinci Seblat National Park. Dominated by Mount Kerinci, the country’s highest volcano at 3,800 meters above sea level, the area is characterized by small farms owned by members of the Camintoran Cooperative, totaling 162 farmers. This particular micro-lot of S-Lini and Caturra varieties was produced by farmers from the villages of Palompek, Solok, and Bengkolan Dua. After being hand-picked, the ripe cherries are depulped and then dried in parchment with a residual mucilage, using the “honey” method.
