The plantation
This coffee is sourced from more than 850 farmers living in Wenago near the Yirgacheffe District, Gedeo Zone. Farmers deliver ripe cherries to the Wenago mill which is owned and operated by Oumer Abudu. Ripe cherries are carefully sorted and pulped. After pulping, the beans are fermented for 36 to 48 hours and then washed and sun dried. The cups show a distinct rose and bergamot aroma, a vibrant acidity and ripe peach flavour.
